About Mano a Mano Family Resource Center

Founded in 2000, Mano a Mano Family Resource Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supported by the generous contributions of individuals, corporations and foundations.  Our vision is an integrated Lake County where everyone has access to opportunity and paths to success.  Our mission is to empower immigrants and their families living in Lake County, Illinois to become full participants in American life.  

Mano a Mano's work is guided by our organizational values, which includeCollaboration and Community Building, Education, Excellence, Equality of opportunity, Stewardship, and Respect for human dignity.  Serving more than 4,500 individuals annually, Mano a Mano is committed to providing quality services and resources to immigrant families living in Lake County and surrounding areas.  We have several service locations throughout Lake County:

  • Western Lake County (Mano a Mano- Round Lake)- our main location offering all services, six days a week.
  • Eastern Lake County (Mano a Mano- Zion)- satellite office offering health case management and immigration legal services, five days a week.
  • Wauconda Community Site (Wauconda Area Public Library)- community-site offereing health case management, by appointment every Tuesday.
  • Mundelein Community Site (Mundelein High School)- community-site offering health case management, by appointment every Monday.
  • Waukegan Community Site (Waukegan Public Library)- community-site offering health case management, by appointment every Tuesday.
